It would be interesting to have a tool where you can compare GPX files. Paired with a database of GPX recordings of transit routes, etc, this could be very useful.

We could answer questions like: How variable is my bus ride every day? What are the points in which it differs?

Maybe it could be git-diff like, showing exactly where one trip slowed down. I think the idea is assuming that they take the same route and look at timing.
